Glove box attack problem - found the culprit. 200 1988

With a little pothole or a RR crossing, the glove box door on the 1988 244GL wifemobile opens with a bang, unless it hits the passenger's knees.

I have another glove box, and have found the reason. It's not that the hinge part begins to sag after umpteen years, the dang thing cracks and sags. Another box is likely to have the same cracks. Yackphoo

So, maybe the 8th and 9th screws, up from below, are the best fix after all. No duct tape, no Velcro, no plastic strips, just screw it! Maybe a longish sheet rock screw would work. I'll let ya know.

Regards to all,

Bob
