960 climate control issue? 900 1992

My wife's 1992 960 wagon is having problems with the climate control. It started out as a delay in the AC kicking on, we'd have to go some distance before the air would start pumping. Now its just not coming on- the blower isn't blowing, that is, at least not with any force. Leaving it on "auto" or turning the setting up makes no difference, nor does turning off the AC for only regular ventilation, nor changing the temperature guage. It does go, but very very very slowly and with insufficient force to cool the front of the car, much less my poor kids in the back.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm very happy to have been clued into this site, I've learned a lot already- including the great tid bit regarding the timing belt, one of which I've ordered already!
