Lower shock bolts ruining my life - don't let my wife kill me! 900 1993

I've done rear shocks on my 100s and 200s a half-dozen times, and I expected the same easy procedure on the 940. Unfortunately, these lower shock bolts are defying all attempts to extract them from the trailing arms. I've tried nearly every combination of strain relief (propping just the shock bottom, propping the trailing arm, disconnecting the other two sway bar bolts), so that I can see the bolt move oh-so-slightly in it's hole, but even my dead-blow hammer won't persuade these suckers. To make matters worse, I damaged the threads on the end of one of the bolts and stripped out it's nut. The FAQ states that these bolts are usually in need of a good whacking, but am I missing some trick here? Would a healthy dose of PB Blaster help?

The wife doesn't like riding in my loud, rough, non-AC 240, so please help me get her back in her own car!
