Is tailpipe replacement a DIY job? 900

I don't remember for sure, but isn't the s-pipe and the muffler all one unit? I just replace my system from the cat-back with 2.5" SS from ipd and it wasn't really all that difficult. I had my car up on jack stands and in the pouring rain it took me about an hour. The rain helped because it is a pretty dirty job.
