Trash the spacers.

Check for spark at the plugs. Remove one plug, reattach its wire, ground the threaded part to a head bolt (or other convenient ground), and crank. Weak spark, check for point gap closing down.

If there's any fuel in the SU float bowls, and the carb pistons are free to move up and down, it's not a fuel problem.

If it is a fuel problem, the pump may be plugged up with grit from the tank. If it's the kind where the top comes off by removing one screw, there's a filter in there. Note that the top is keyed and must be put back on in the original orientation.
