recent 240 upgrade, info on codes needed

If you are talking about the on-board diagnostic codes stored by the ECU (with or without the check engine light) then get a Bentley manual for the car. You will not regret it. The OBD device is on the rear of the left strut tower. Small black box with a cap. Insert the pin in position 2 and depress the button for 2 seconds. Then observe the slow flash pattern. 1-1-1 means all is well.
