A/C Temp? & Code 2-3-1? 200 1989

Hi, On my '89 240 I also had this code come up last fall... All I could do would not get rid of it, it kept coming back.
My car was drinking a bit too much gas too. Other than that, it drive like a dream, no startup issues, I would do 600+ miles per week and it was perfect... all except for this code. My fpr was replaced with a new unit (new Bosch, cheap around 40 $ fcpgroton.com).

Then it happened... two months later the AMM died. The car would not idle cold at all. It was a quick fix, I got a used AMM and all was well, back to the beautiful performance again.

Moral: Clean AMM contacts; maybe if you can get to try another AMM yours might be on the go. Make sure the last three digits match. Also, check to make sure your pre-heat valve in the airbox is not stuck open, cooking your AMM.

Also, maybe you should buy a new fpr, cheap enough at 40ish bucks.

Good luck!
