H E L P ! Impossible to open the HOOD with the white pulling lever 200 1988

Hi,

I just wanted to open the hood of my 240 for regular maintenance.

I pulled the white lever 15 inches backward without resistance.
So the wire has become loose of the releasing mechanisme!!

How can I now open the hood??? without damaging anything??
