Electrical Problem 900 1994

NO...it is build in. You should see at least 13 volts DC on the battery post. The alternator is bad. Once the battery is low on charge there is no current to run the ingintion coil. With alternators you will not see much change with raised RPM...maybe top out at 14vdc not like the old gernerator style where you see the fluctuation. Hope this helps.
