Swapping Gauge Glass..... Is It Possible? 200 1979

Hello to all.

I recently purchased a Ambient Temp Gauge and noticed that the glass on the gauge is a bit scratched and has these blotchy mark I can't get out. I have a Turbo Gauge that I don't need (B27F) that has a really nice piece of glass on it but I would like to take that glass of and put it on the Ambient Temp Gauge. I know there is 3-small screws in the back of these gauges that help to release the gauge from the metal casing but thats all I can find. Is there anyways to take of the glass on these types of gauges and can they be put back on OR once you take off the glass the gauge is broken? If anyone can lend a hand or info that would be great. Have a good weekend everybody!
