Turbo Air Box Flap 900

I did an air box hot-air flap mod on my '95-945 na. Removed the box, used a 1/4-20 drill to drill a hole through the box and flap, and fastened it with a double nutted 1/4-20 bolt. Not too tight, just right. I snaked out the plastic cold air intake pipe to inspect and noticed the air scoop was facing the back rather then the front. I thought a little ram air would be a good thing. I didn't mod it.

Check those vacuum hoses. We have heard that a lot. Removal or the air box allowed a close inspection of the canister hoses. I found a leak at a dual diameter hose that connects a narrow hard plastic tube to a larger canister barb. A temporary tape patch is in place now. I think I can fabricate a replacement.

Question on the '95 944 turbo air box. I didn't remove it yet but it is not obvious where the cold air intake is or the warm air intake is located. I think some folks have made the air box flap mod on a turbo.
