Air Conditioning Bewilderment 200 1984

I found today that the previous owner was an idiot.. Ok, well, I already knew that, but, this just proves my point. I'm getting ready to replace the a/c compressor and checking everything out while I'm at it. While checking the high pressure switch, I traced the two green wires back across the front of the radiator and back into the engine compartment. The little black tube stops, and the two green wires are poking out and TWISTED TOGETHER! I found one of the green leads coming out of the firewall, with a scotch-lok and a short piece of the same kind of green wire with a black terminal. I cannot for the life of me find the other green lead! I know it doesn't matter which lead goes to what terminal on the switch. Where do the two wires originate? Do they both come from the same place, does one connect to a different color wire? I did find another green lead coming from the firewall, under the big grey connector, but it has a red sleeve on it with white numbers on it, and terminates with a black connector. I'd like to fix this and have it wired up by tonight. Thanks for the help in advance, guys!
