Hesitation while driving, doesn't idle well/ quits on first start of day- bad main pump? 200 1983

I have an 83 240- B23F. I suspect a bad main fuel pump. On the first start of the day it requires a little throttle to keep from quiting for a couple seconds to idle, then is fine. It will occasionally hesitate when cruising, and will rarely quit. It seems to be starved for fuel, could the FPR be compensating for a low pressure situation? I have recently replaced the FPR, x-fer pump, filter, wiring harness, and Fuel injection computer. It doesn't seem to be a bad connection, I had a couple and fixed 'em.

Thanks for the input,
