Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Question again... 200 1988

Ok, so I have been getting all geared up and planning for the TAB removal and installation. But today I talked to a local mechaninc who does alot of volvos and recommended not to try it myself because without a hoist and air tools it may not turn out right or take me a couple of days. He said a hoist would be needed to hold up the rear axle after the arm and shocks are off (although i think the track rod and torque arm hold some weight), and that intense torquing is needed for the procedure and without proper tools I could hurt myself (I think he meant if the axle falls on top of me).

He mentioned the special tool is only for installing the bushing and not removing it. He said he uses air tools and chisels to remove it.

Now I know this guy is NOT full of s@%t, because he has many times flat out told me of other things on the 240 I could do myself, indicating HE is not all about the money. After sucessfully doing my timing belt, in-tank pump and similar level tasks, I almost feel like I could take over the world, but IS the TAB task out of my league.

I will be using my brothers garage with jack stands, hydraulic jack and hand tools. The garage is flat.

What does everyone who has already done this think?

I have read the procedure in bentley and am making the tool, but what other tips should I embrace to handle the job in an easy fashion, I just am not that giving with the quoted price of $450 for the local volvo mechanic to do the job. It's hard times ya know.

I know the trick about soaking them with PB blaster, already on it!
