New to the 700 series, any advice on quirks? 700 1989

I've been driving older 240's for a few years, and know of some of their problems (fuel pump relays going bad, etc.)

I just bought a 1989 740 turbo wagon with 118,000 miles. Damn, this things runs smooth and quiet! I don't know the maitenance history on this car, so I'm going to change the oil and filter, air filter, and maybe have the transmission flushed. I've already discovered what appears to be a 700 problem, the ignition switch sticking in the third slot. I'll deal with that later.

I'm planning on using synthetic oil, make sense? What is the best manual for this series, does bently make one for the 700 series? Any relays go bad on the 700 series, as they do on the early 240 series. I'm guessing the wiring harness doesn't go bad like on the early 240's.

thanks

-Bruce
