Anyone ever install a proportioning valve? Part of braking system. 200

Its part of the breaking system. From the mastercylender the lines go down to this valve, located just inside the front drivers wheel where all the hydraulic lines connect. There is a plug in it and mine is leaking. I'm sick of pouring brake fluid into the mastercylender only to have it squeezed out everytime I brake. A common problem I'm told.
I was also told they are around $150 new. I'm thinking of going to the junk yard and pulling one off a newer model and putting it on myself. But the whole bleeding the brakes is whats puttng me off.
Anyone have experience with this? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
