Pointless Ignition Coversion Pertronix 140-160 1971

Where did you order your Pertronix from? Did you also have to use the Pertronix coil? The 1863 kit is the same for a 72-73 Porsche 911T. If I understand this, the Pertronix kit is turnkey? You only have to install the 1863 kit and coil 40511 (part # depenendant on finish, chrome, black, epoxy). Let me know how it goes when you install it on your 164. This looks like a good alternative to using a kit from a 75. I was quoted $225 plus shipping for a used system from Voluparts. From what I have found the Pertronix runs around $70, big difference. Thanks for the info, I look forward to hearing how your conversion goes.
