Idle At Start 1800 1971

A little help/advice, please. Is it the Cold Start Valve? I have electronic ignition installed, have replaced plugs, set timing as accurately as is possible, I think. However...on start, when engine is cold, engine doesn't want
to stabilize at normal idle for about 20-30 seconds. In fact, if I don't "massage" it with accelerator pedal, it will die first time I
start. After about 30 seconds, it idles PERFECTLY. Thoughts? Cold
Start Valve, injectors, other? Any help/recommendations appreciated.
