I am in the market for a case of filters and chose the MANN - and so I was hoping the answer was silicone. I got some inside info that told me that the nitrile rubber check valves fail in the winter due to hardening up. The silisonce have proven to work better in the cold temps.

Pass me a swig of that hooch to get warmed up Up here at the pole its always cold.
