Temp senser 700 1987

Friday i plan to replace my engine coolant temp senser ECT. Am taking some advise from the faq and removing the intake manifold to easily get to it. I plan to put in a new flame trap while things are opened up.
1. If i take off the air hose from the bottom of the throttle body can i basically unbolt the manifold and lay it back toward the drivers side and make enough room to get the old sensor out and the new one in?
2. I can't find any specification on how much to torque the manifold upon reinstalling it?

Any other wisdom or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
