Is too much antifreeze bad? 200 1980

Thanks to everyone with help on replacing the radiator.

I got the new radiator in, and decided to replace the coolent, since the old stuff mostly got all over the ground. Any how, I bought 2 gallons of antifreeze, and a gallon of Distilled Water. I mixed (what I thought was) about 70% antifreeze and 30% water into a gallon container. I mixed it well, and added it to the car.

I came back to mix some more. I did the same thing. Filled the Antifreeze up to the same spot on the gallon container, and filled the rest with water.

I came back to mix the last couple of quarts I would need, but I realized that I had been mixing quite a bit more antifreeze then I thought I had. The container was an odd shape, so it was difficult to really tell how much was how much.

My question: Is running the radiator with more then 70% antifreeze a good idea? I'm not thinking so, but I don't want to screw around with draining this thing if I don't have to. If it is too much, I'm thinking of draining a little, and then just adding some straight distilled water.

It's been running okay so far, although the temperature did start to climb again... I'm thinking the thermostat I got is junk, which might be the cause of that...

Thanks as always.
