Checking on an idea... 900 1992

Ok... I have been having this issue that is starting to happen more frequently. Normally if it is a one time event, I just ignore it but this is becoming consistant. Anyway, I am getting cases where the car just stops running. All the electrical works, it just seems like it stops getting gas. The main fuel pump was replaced a few years ago but the one in the tank was not. We also replaced several relays, but in what order I cannot remember. Am I right is trying to replace the tank pump first, or trying something else?
