Heating/cooling system vacuum problems... 700 1985

Check the vacuum hose that goes from the intake manifold to the firewall that supplies vacuum to the system. See if it's cracked or loose. It may have a cylindrical plastic check valve in line with it- pick up another one at the junkyard, or test it for flow/blockages.
