Siezed AC clutch - Power steering belt 200 1988

1988 - 240 DL. I noticed a rattling scraping noice coming from under the hood. The noice has been diagnosed as a siezed AC clutch. Two days later the power steering belt snapped. The end of the pulley attached to the AC compressor completely locked up. I do not care about having my AC working, but I would like to have my power steering back. Is there a way to either unjam the compressor or to bypass the AC system so that the belt can move? I have looked for an answer in my repair guide and it seems that the compressor cannot be unjammed allowing the pulley to spin again. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
