How is the Heater Fan switch supposed to be wired with the AC? 200 1980

Back in November, I replaced the heater fan in the '80 245. At the time, I didn't fully wire up the AC components, because the AC doesn't work on the car. With summer here, however, I've been thinking about getting it working again, so I have a couple of questions on how to hook it up...

The instructions from IPD (which I loosely followed) told me to connect a wire from pin #5 on the new switch to the hot side of the Thermostat Switch. Is the Thermostat Switch that rotating AC switch? If so, how do I tell what side is hot? (I use to know how, but I can't remember.

The next step told me to connect the white wire from terminal #86 on the AC relay to the wire in pin #6 in the new switch. Where is the AC relay?

Thanks everyone. Next, I'll be asking how to test the compressor.
