Coupla things while comtemplating how to bite the bullet:

1. Could the leak be the high-pressure hose? Does the fluid level drop when he car sits overnight? That would be the low-pressure hose, maybe. If no drop, check the high pressure hose. Turn the wheel while somebody watches.

2. Carry a couple quarts of ATF, and keep the reservoir topped up. Two quart bottles will fit in front of the battery and sit on the air intake hose. Be sure they don't sit on the a/c hose that's down there.
