Rough Idle & Mysterious Chattering?? HELP!!! 700 1989

Hey everyone... you've all been pretty good at fixing my problems before... so I have another challenge.

First Problem...
I've had this problem for about a year and a half. When I first start it say in the Morning (doesn't matter the weather.) It starts after a hard crank and then once I put it into gear and let off the brake it dies. Start it back up and it's just fine. Plus it idles somewhere around 600-700 and I noticed (I think it used to idle at 1000?). I noticed it has a really rough Idle up until you reach 1000 rpms. Mechanic suggested that the AMM's go on these cars pretty regularly, but at $300 a pop I'm not ready to experiment with this yet. Any ideas as to what this might suggest? Oil is fine... Spark plugs are NGK's and I change them pretty regularly... maybe wires? Cap? Dirty TB? I'm not sure where event to begin... Suggestions please (Also, I haven't had any stalling problems after I get it started that second time.)

Second Problem...
I admit I made a mistake. Took a corner to fast and hit the curb straight on. I damaged the wheels, bought four new wheels off of a 240 and got new tires. I recently noticed that the steering has become very loose and I have a pretty bad wind-blowing problem on the highway. Steering wheel used to shake but fixed that with a new tire... so no more shake. Had two different shops look at it and say that everything was REAL tight and was really good... Tie Rods, Struts, etc. What I do know is that the front suspension has been pushed back about an inch. This is probably part of it (plus that's the reason why my tires are cupping.) But here's the main problem. The right side has a pretty serious clunk to it. You can hear it coming off the driveway and on some bumps. Can't seem to recreate the noise without driving the car. Also, ever since I took it to this one shop there's a mysterious high-pitched chattering noise. It only happens when accelerating a little above a granny acceleration. It starts chattering, let off the gas... no chattering? The same noise happens when hitting some bumps. This one has a lot of people baffled. It bothers me though... I know something isn't right with my car and I hate that feeling.

Sorry it's a little long... I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN HELP!!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Joe Doherty
