air mass meter, which one is this? 700 1991

Looking at my father-in-law's 740 sedan 1991 B230F, I noticed the AMM.

I thought they all had the long connector with around 8 pins.
The AMM on his car has a 'square-like' connector on the side of it, otherwise all looks the same. What generation fuel injection is this? Is this Bosch?

Also the air source for the IACV is coming from the airbox over the filter, not from the air duct just before the throttle body (like my 240 and my 940)...

This car is 100% stock.
