Rob,

I have a question regarding dajets scenario. I have an 88 740T that I just replaced the headgasket on. I suspect that the car overheated but the gauge NEVER showed that the temperature was anything other than normal. Now I am paranoid (I dont want to replace another gasket) that something is still causing the car to overheat. After putting the new gasket on I drove the car around with the heater on and the air became very hot, or seemingly much hotter than normal but the gauge was, as always, dead center in the middle. After parking the car I popped the hood and the engine seemed hotter than normal, and this was only after a five minute drive although the car never acted up like in the previous poster's description (It was only a five minute drive). What can I do to insure that the car is not overheating? Thanks,
