rack leaking, any stop-leak worth using?? 200 1986

I have to agree with replacement (if it is truly the rack itself). It will slowly leak for a little while until the day arrives when floods of ATF at biblical proportions appear. Also, not to add to your misery, but check the ball joints and such. Faulty/worn suspension parts can tear a steering rack apart, as I learned on an expensive occasion after replacing again in a year's time. I was able to get mine replaced (rebuilt rack) and aligned for ~$500.00.
