Alternator Replacement 1800 1970

Thanks, Jim. Everyone now agrees that the regulators are external. But Rusty from RPR told me the regulators were interchangeable. I guess the next question, since I have my choice of what to believe, is what happens if I hook it up without changing regulators, just to test Rusty's theory. Another good one might be: Where in the world would I get an SEV regulator? And if I could find a source, how do I get the correct regulator.
