Alternator Replacement 1800 1970

I'm with Jim -- the regulators do not interchange. I think there are even two styles of SEV regulator, depending which model SEV alternator you have (don't hold me to this).

I tried one of those electronic regulators that are direct replacements for the Bosch with a Marchal alternator, and didn't have very good luck with it -- however, it was a junkyard alternator that may not have been 100% right. It did charge, but dropped to 12V at idle.

I don't know a source for SEV VRs -- I didn't pursue it further.
