93 - 940 Won't Start 900 1993

My 93 940 (non-turbo 160K miles) will not start. It was starting and running fine. Then all of a sudden it just refused to start. The engine turns over with no problem. A quick check revealed that it is firing. The fuel pump relay was replaced about a year ago. I checked the fuel pump relay as well as the auxiliary relay with a 12V battery and volt meter. Both appear to be functional. The fuel pump will run with the relay removed and a jumper in place. I have not checked the fuel pump pressure yet. The onboard diagnostics unit does not inbdicate a problem.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or had a similar experience??
