240 Fuel Problems...HELP 200

Ok heres the symptom, my 240 surges and stalls out after its been driven a while (15-30mins). I installed a New low pressure in-tank pump and the problem persists. Next I installed (what I thought was) a good in-line pump off another Volvo same make and year. The new/old pump seemed to be noisy and the problem was worse. It is very possible the donor in-line pump is also bad. But, my question is what else could it be? I mean it doesn't seem electical because the car acts like its starving for fuel. And when it is allowed to cool off for like 10 mins it will go again for 15-30 without stalling out. As I mentioned I have access to a very clean parts car I just don't know where else to look other than the pump. Much thanks for your help.---DB
