Throttle linkage play on a 142E 140-160 1972

Hi all,

I'm looking for some suggestions on how to give my 142E a more precise pedal feel-basically take out the slop in my stock setup. Mine has a lot of play at the firewall bushing that keeps moving around. It's also seems like it pulls at strange and inefficient angle. Any suggestions or maybe a recommendation on a kit out there would be great. I'd like to take out the play so that the pedal actually does something in it's first 1/2" of travel! I figure I have to replace the whole thing to get it to work smoothly so I'm looking for advice on the whole nine. thanks all, Marshall
