R134a Conversion-Thanks Chris Herbst !! 700 1988

I followed Chris Herbst's directions for the conversion of my daughter's '88 744GLE from R12 to R134a and the procedure worked perfectly. Cost: Volvo kit-$70, Volvo accessory kit-$35, evacuation & recharge by a/c shop-$95. Had to replace the condensor, also ($50 on Ebay). There's people on this board advocating all sorts of short cuts, but my daughter plans to keep the car for a while (only 207,000 miles) and I think this was the best way to go. The A/C cools very well. Thanks for the help.
