Overheating 700 1992

No leaks that I am aware of , though with the last couple weeks, very hot, and twice loss of coolant, hard to tell. Had wanted to avoid replacement of the radiator if possible (need to keep the cost down). Is there a way to flush out all of the gook?
Will try that, new thermostat and hoses, to see if that works.

Thaks for the advice
