windshield washer nozzles removal, '89 240 wagon 200

My front windshield washer nozzles are totally plugged and efforts to unplug didn't work. So, I bought 2 brand new nozzles (at $8 apiece!!) Now, how do I get the old ones out? Looks like a "break off" job. Hard to reach underneath, but I can pull off the hoses easy enough, but trying to squeeze those little clips together underneath because of the very limited space under the hood, to just pull them out, is next to impossible. Putting in the new ones should be a "snap". Going to flush the system with clear water and a solution of CLR to clean out the water mineral deposits. Suggestions please and thanks.
