70 164 EFI conversion using 74 donor.... 6 bolt vs 8 bolt 140-160

hi everyone,

i know this has probably been discussed before, but i cant really find what i am looking for in the archives.

i am converting my 70 164 to E spec, using a 74 as a donor. which is the better bottom end?

my 70 is a four speed, the 74 automatic. i would like to keep the four speed. if the 8 bolt motor is significantly more desirable, i can always have the flywheel recentrerd.

for now, which ever B30 is used, it will remain pretty much stock. my eventual aim is 200hp. is this achievable?

would anyone in adelaide, south australia, like to swap an early EFI fuel tank for other parts?
