brake confussion 700

Hi
I am some what confussed as what type of brakes my car has or what it should have. I removed the front wheel and the twin piston caliper is marked girling however the ID plate located in the left rear door jam says brake..3 (DBA front and ATE rear) could the brakes not be the original and since I have brake trouble can the different calipers be interchanged which is the best .
thank to all
