Engine vibration 200 1991

I've been having the same problem with my 91 245, and based on my experience with my 87 245, figured it was just a loose heat shield. However, I dicovered that the later cars don't have the same heat shield, and that's not my problem.

As it turns out in my case, the catalytic converter has a death rattle. I've got a new one coming, so I only have to live with it for a few more days, but it's definitely annoying. Try knocking on your converter (cold) and see if the core sounds loose.
