Wagon Tailgate wiring repair - got questions. 200

1989, 245

The wiring at the back top roof hinges for the door on my 89, 245 have totally split. I mean the wiring is still there but broken in half. Has anyone done this repair. I would like to know the tips tricks of the trade and what you suggest to make this repair job go as smoothly and as easily as possible.

I already attempted to pull the wiring out of each side after disconnecting the harness connections inside and in the door but it does not budge. So, as you see, I am uncertain as to how to proceed.

Thanks everyone--diyer
