Any turbo experts out there? I need some help! 700 1991

I get a cloud of white smoke after boost in my car - out of the exhaust. It is not a dense cloud, but enough to notice. I am presuming it is oil, but I suppose it could be coolant. Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot this? I am considering rebuilding my turbo (Mitsubishi) which I have heard is not a fun job but fairly possible for a DIYer like me.

Any suggestions anyone could give would be most welcome.
