Massive oil missing 900 1991

Last oil change (3k) the 91 940T used a quart of oil. I checked the oil last night and the dipstick was dry(3k since last change). I have been using 10W30 year round. I live in Atlanta and the heat has not been that bad. I know the turbo is letting some oil by since I'm pushing 200K. There are no oil leaks on the motor period. Very little oil at/in the intake throttle body. The turbo outlet hoses have a good even coat of oil film throughout. lugs are very clean.

Would heavier oil help, or is it time visit the bank and invest in a new/rebuilt turbo?

It just surprised me the drastic change in the course of 3000 miles. Had a friend check my tail (exhaust) and no plums of smoke when stepping on it.
