CD Changer for my V90 S90-V90 1997

Thanks for the info. I now have my local friendly Volvo/Volkswagon wrecker yard watching for the Volvo/Alpine unit. Have been doing some research and found my other option is to buy a new or used Alpine model CHM S630 or 620 which is functionally the same as the Volvo branded unit. It seems that what they do is create a unique connection between the Volvo SC series head units and the changer to foil us installing a non Volvo changer. But there is an aftermarket adapter available from Crutchfield for the 630/620 models to get around this.

If I don't find the cable in my wagon I have located a factory cable in a 960 at the wrecker which has the power wires tie wrapped and running along side. The main cable has smaller sized 8 pin DIN plugs at each end. Is that what yours looks like?
