Tail shft bushing orientation

I am replacing the tail shaft bushing on a '87 740 turbo. I have removed the tail shaft and am ready to install the new bushing but the new bushing is different from the old. The the new bushing has a hole and grooves. The old bushing has grooves but no hole. Should the hole in the new bushing align with the one of the two grooves in the tail shaft housing? One groove is larger than the other. Logic says to align the hole with the smaller of the two grooves in the tail shaft housing.

I have replace all of the universal joints and center support bearing so I really don't want to pull the drive shaft again.

Thanks!
