electrical system and front wheel bearing questions 120-130 1967

OK, after pulling the front rotors to turn them, im going to need new inner wheel bearings and seals... actually Auto Zone stocks the seals, does anyone know a local parts house that typically carries the bearings? AZ cant get them, Advance has to order them, that is all I have had time to check so far.
I know they aren't the best Volvo parts suppliers, but I am on a serious budget here.
So while I am stalled on that I decided to install a battery and get the electrical system working so when the engine is finally reinstalled I wont have to worry about it. My philosophy on old cars has always been get the vitals fixed then get it going- so systems like brakes, electrical, door locks all are scheduled to get fixed while the engine is in limbo (machine shop).
So, I clean everything up, fab up a nice bungee hold down, charge my spare battery, hook up the negative cable, and lo and behold the positive cable is... well, just that- the positive cable and nothing more than the cable to the pos. terminal on the starter... I know there has to be a current feed to the rest of the car... can you guys give me just a little insight as to how the engine compartment is wired up on these cars so I can figure it out?

Two other notes also...

I killed the bees. Havent found the nest/hive yet but the 3 indoor foggers I used did the trick.

My old laptop got fried and I lost all my bookmarks to all those cool Volvo websites... can you all email me some more links (crown14@yahoo.com) or of course, post them here?
