Another electrical freakout 140-160 1973

If the alternator is charging at all the light won't come on because the
voltage on both sides of it is the same. Voltage at the alternator has to
dip well below 12 volts to make the light come on.
But if your lights are doing funny things, especially part but not all of
them, you have a wiring problem that you need to fix.
