Dear Board,
well I changed the hose from the dryer to the compressor, what a good time! haha. After that I went back to the shop and the guy re-reevacuated the system and charged with 134a. He says he did the math and calculated out 2lbs and I think 6 oz of 134. I did a query in the archives and saw a few that charged to two pounds. I think what I have is a little high, I search the FAQ's very breifly because it has been such a long day and almost bedtime. I am excited because it is nice and cold I just want to make sure there is not Too much in there. In addition to the rain and high humidity in MA, I did not really notice the compressor turning on and off, it seemed to stay more "on" or engaged rather. sooo.. Just trying to piece it together before --hypothetically--the compressor fails because of an overcharge and daa daa daa da dahh.
Just for some humor, the hose itself was pinched on the elbow by the battery, just before it spans across the engine. come to find out after I analyzed, my battery holder broke lose, the neg terminal pulled the ground cable which is attached to the mount for my 'non-existant' intake preheat ( I removed that whole job)....so anyways that little mount pulled forwards and cut into the aluminum pipe. BE AWARE! Be very very aware!
Thanks all,
steve
