Help - LH 2.4 Idle Speed Compensation Sensor bad? 900 1991

Using diagnostic modes 2 and 3 (as in FAQ) I found that a number of sensors didn't seem to react, and there was no response at all (no code) when I depressed the brake pedal and moved from P to D to N - the light just kept flashing; it was receiving no signal, apparently.

Is there an Automatic Transmission Idle Speed Compensation Sensor???

Also, the TPS flashed the same when in moved to full load and when moved back to idle (3-3-2). My TPS is brand new, so it should be working unless there is a wiring fault.
